AAPAR's Adapted Aquatics Credentialing Course

If you have successfully completed the Online Adapted Aquatics Instruction Course, offered by AAPAR in conjunction with Human Kinetics, you qualify to take AAPAR's adapted aquatics credentialing course. This 8-hour, hands-on workshop takes place primarily in a swimming pool and provides hands-on training that will enhance your skills.

Upon receipt of your registration and other required documents, AAPAR will contact you to confirm your registration and to discuss procuring copies of your proof of certification as outlined below under Credential Prerequisites.

 

Credential Prerequisites

AAPAR must receive copies of the following current valid certificates at least two weeks before the start of your chosen workshop:

- CPR

- AED

- First Aid

- Current instructional swim certificate from a national agency (WSI, YMCA)

*If you register by mail, you must register at least 3 weeks before the scheduled workshop. Registration is not available on site. To be eligible for the Adapted Aquatics Instructor Credential, you must take the in-pool workshop within 1 year of passing the online blended course through Human Kinetics.

 

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing at AAPAR. For cancellations received up to one week (8 days) before the scheduled workshop, refunds will be made less a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations within 7 days from the scheduled workshop.
